The iPhone 11 Pro came out in 2019. In phone years, that's ancient. But it still has a great triple camera, an OLED screen, and it still gets iOS updates. So the honest answer to "should I fix it?" is: depends on what broke.
Where the iPhone 11 Pro stands in 2026
- Software: Apple released iOS 27 on September 14, 2026, and it supports the iPhone 11 and newer. Your 11 Pro gets it. Don't expect Apple Intelligence features, though. Those need much newer hardware.
- Apple service: Apple lists the iPhone 11 Pro as vintage. That means Apple can still repair it, but only while parts are available. After seven years from when Apple stopped selling it, it becomes obsolete and Apple stops hardware service completely.
- Self Service Repair: Apple's DIY parts program launched with the iPhone 12, 13 and SE (3rd generation). The 11 Pro wasn't part of that launch, so plan on a shop or Apple.
What each repair costs
| Repair | Apple price | Typical shop price | With AppleCare+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery | $89 | $69 to $109 | $0 (under 80%) |
| Screen, aftermarket LCD | N/A | $60 to $100 | N/A |
| Screen, aftermarket OLED | N/A | $90 to $150 | N/A |
| Screen, genuine | $279 | N/A | $29 |
| Other damage (back glass, frame, more) | $549 | Varies | $99 |
The easy yes: battery
If your 11 Pro dies early or shuts off randomly, check Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. Under 80% means it's worn out by Apple's standard. Apple says iPhone 14 and earlier batteries are designed to keep 80% of their capacity at 500 full charge cycles, and a 2019 phone has almost certainly blown past that.
Apple rated the 11 Pro for up to 18 hours of video playback when new. A fresh $89 battery gets you back near that. For a phone that otherwise works, that's a great deal.
Usually yes: screen
A cracked screen on an 11 Pro is worth fixing if the rest of the phone is fine. Skip Apple's $279 unless you have AppleCare+, and get a good aftermarket OLED for $90 to $150 instead. Our iPhone 11 Pro screen options guide compares all three screen types.
Usually no: the $549 stuff
Apple doesn't list a separate back glass price for the 11 Pro. A cracked back, bent frame or other major damage gets quoted as other damage at $549. That's more than this phone is worth to most people. If the back is cracked but nothing's sharp, put a case on it and move on.
Water damage is the other big no. The 11 Pro was rated IP68 to 4 meters for 30 minutes when new, but seals age. If it went swimming and now acts weird, a repair is a gamble.
A simple way to decide
Add up what you'd spend on repairs. Then ask:
1. Is the total under about $200? Fix it, as long as everything else works.
2. Is it over $300? Look at a used or refurbished newer iPhone instead. You'll get better battery life and a few more years of updates.
3. Somewhere in between? Think about how long you'll keep it. Apple's vintage clock is running, and parts for older phones get harder to find over time.
Free things to try before paying
- Restart it and update to the latest iOS 27 release.
- Delete apps you don't use and clear space. Older phones slow down a lot when storage is nearly full.
- Clean the Lightning port gently with a wooden toothpick if charging is flaky.
- Reset settings (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings) if things feel glitchy. This doesn't erase your photos or apps.
Verdict
Fix the battery, probably fix the screen, and skip anything that costs $549. The iPhone 11 Pro still has some life in it, but it's in its final stretch. All prices are on the iPhone 11 Pro repair page.
